Locale
Set on a 25 acre private estate surrounded by 1000 acres of protected land --only a short drive away are some of the most picturesque villages in Provence. Worth mentioning are Les Baux de Provence, the famous fortified village of the XIV century as well as Saint Remy de Provence, where Vincent Van Gogh painted, and where Nostradamus, the middle age visionaries was born. To the south of the Mas is the 2000-year-old city of Arles, which is famous for Roman baths, an amphitheater, and an arena. Arles is also the capital of the Camargue region, an area well known for the white wild horse and bullfights.
