Les Pierres du Luberon

The House

Les Pierres du Luberon, with its magnificent view, faces south across a vast and spectacular private valley , planted with truffle oaks. And yet it is two minutes from the village of Buoux in the Luberon National Park. Seemingly miles from anywhere with its wide-open spaces, tranquility and wildlife, this lovely stone house is equidistant between the market town of Apt and the medieval and exquisite town of Lourmarin with its galleries and restaurants. The surrounding countryside is very well known for rock climbing and hiking and with a fabulous old Chateau and an extraordinary medieval fort nearby, the area is also a painter and photographers' delight.

Nestled on 120 acres of land with lavender fields, truffle oaks and natural bush land, La Baume Victoire is close what one imagines in the picture books of Provence. It is a delightful two story stone house with sage green shutters and picture windows and doors framing beautiful views. Inside the house are thick stone walls, tiled floors and exposed beams of traditional Provencal architecture. Because of its position, light floods the house from dawn to sunset. There is also a pretty pool set away from the main house and a charming summer house with a guest room. Both also have marvelous views.

Spend the days hiking in the countryside and gathering fresh cheese, bread and other local specialties at the area's weekly outdoor markets.

The Luberon area is renowned for its summer festivals…details

* Please note this house requires a 2 week minimum stay during July and August.

On the ground floor there is a vast open living room/dining room with high ceiling and fireplace at one end and fully equipped modern kitchen at the other.
